I'm A Celeb's Wales castle teased in leaked drone footage a week before ITV show returns

I’m A Celebrity’s creepy castle in North Wales has been teased in newly emerged drone footage – just ahead of the ITV show’s highly anticipated return.

Gwrych Castle has been captured in a series of amazing aerial shots by drones which flew over the castle grounds – NorthWalesLive reports.

The clips from the sky showed two mystery figures walking around the set in the campmates’ trademark red trousers and blue tops, making it look like campmates were already behind the castle walls.

A newly built area has also been erected in the castle grounds before the stars bunk down at the castle.

It comes as the legendary reality TV show returns to ITV this weekend – November 21.

It is usually set in the Australian jungle, but bosses were forced into a U-turn due to ongoing coronavirus travel restrictions, meaning the show is back in North Wales for the second year running.

Reports have also claimed that a huge name decided to drop out after the news that the show wouldn’t be going back Down Under.

Famous hosts Ant and Dec are back at the helm too, which means the campmates are in for a roasting despite the cold Welsh weather at this time of year.

The series is due to begin filming this weekend, with all potential contestants somewhere in North Wales running through their Covid isolation period before joining the camp.

It is believed that the footage could also be promotional shots being filmed ahead of the series kicking off once more.

Ant and Dec teased the return of the show themselves in a trailer which showed them donning medieval armour in the castle grounds.

In the latest video, the Geordie dup can be seen dressed as knights huddling around a campfire, with the pair looking freezing as they battle the cold weather.

The narrator in the clip said: “Two heroes shall brave the elements to ready the camp.”

Dec responded: “It’s a bit chilly”.

Ant said: “I can’t imagine anything colder?”

The trailer finishes with the pair running off after the heavens open in Wales.

It is believed that Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson, Newcastle United legend David Ginola and EastEnders’ Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt are all tipped to join the line-up of celebrities.

Other names believed to be entering the castle include Arlene Phillips, Kadeena Cox, Danny Miller, Naughty Boy and Snoochie Shy.

Giovanna Fletcher was crowned Queen of the Castle last year – with Radio One DJ Jordan North finishing in second place.

A show spokesperson previously revealed the cast will be forced to quarantine for two weeks ahead of filming

“Like last year, our celebrities will do a two week quarantine with regular testing prior to entering the castle, and will then form a bubble for the duration of their time on the show.”

The hit ITV series will be returning to screens this weekend, November 21.
