At school, Malek was already working alongside Hollywood A-Listers including actress Rachel Bilson, who was in his year.

He also shared a musical theatre class with Kirsten Dunst, who was in the year below him at school.

He is well known for his role as Elliot Anderson in the sci-fi television series Mr.Robot from 2015-2019. He won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2016, for his role in the series.

He also starred in Hollywood films including Battleship in 2012 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in the same year, and his current estimated net worth is £5 million.

However, he is best known for his award-winning role as Freddie Mercury in the 2019 Queen Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

In an interview with The Guardian in 2018, Malek said that he had dinner with Brian May and The Kinks frontman Ray Davies, who shared their memories of Freddie Mercury with him and “the impression Freddie had on people.”

“How he could be alone at home and be quiet and reserved and, as he sometimes referred to himself, quite boring,” said Malek, “and then exist in such a powerful way on stage.

“The one thing that kept coming up was how generous he was. How he could make you feel you were the most important person in the room.”

In Bohemian Rhapsody, he starred opposite actress Lucy Boynton, who played Freddie Mercury’s girlfriend Mary in the film.

Following the film, romance between the two blossomed and they became a couple.

It was reported in The Mirror recently that Malek and Boynton had moved in together in their new $2 million dollar home in Malek’s hometown of Los Angeles, California.
