ITV I'm A Celeb teaser clip shows Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson face snakes in trial

A new teaser clip for I’m A Celeb has been released, and it shows Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson up against some scary snakes in the latest trial.

The two soap legends have only just arrived in camp, but it seems they were thrust straight into the action during their Castle Scare Fair challenge.

EastEnders legend Adam and Coronation Street star Simon had to take on the gruelling trial in front of their campmates on Thursday (November 25).

The actors had their heads placed in glass tanks that were filled with snakes crawling around inside of them, and the goal was to try and retrieve the stars using only their tongues.

For comedic effect, the pair were carefully positioned in front of a big board that read: “Queen of the Jungle” with cut-outs of Queen rockers Freddie Mercury and Brian May.

Adam’s head appeared over the cut-out of Freddie, and Simon was on top of Brian May.

Former Emmerdale star Danny Miller cried out “Use that tongue, Adam! Come on lads,” as him and the rest of the cast watched from the sidelines on a bench.

Paralympian Kadeena Cox could be seen squirming as they lowered the snakes into the tanks – and onto the poor actors’ faces.

Geordie hosts Ant and Dec, on the other hand, couldn’t resist giggling as Adam and Simon struggled in the tank.

It comes after Adam and Simon were finally revealed as the show’s mystery arrivals in camp, after weeks of mounting fan speculation that the two were joining the line-up.

Speaking to Daily Star and other publications about how it feels to be arriving in camp, Adam said that although he had some nerves, he ultimately knew what to expect on the show as a long-term fan.

He replied: “I’m no more nervous than I would have been because like everyone, I’ve watched this programme since it started with Tony Blackburn.

“You’ve got an idea of the sort of thing they’re going to be throwing at you – obviously they change it up every year.

“The closer it gets, yeah there’s a little bit of nerves in there but I know what I’ve let myself in for. It’s going to be more a case of how I deal with that.”

When Simon spoke to Daily star and other press, he said that he’s hoping to bring something to the table for his campmates.

He said: “I’m not a bad cook, I can make a fire. I just hope there’s not too many physical activities.

“I used to be very fit, now I’m just very fat. Hopefully I’ll bring something to the table.”
