ITV's The Masked singer unveils wacky new costumes – from Traffic Cone to Bagpipes

ITV’s The Masked Singer has unveiled the 12 new characters that will be taking part in the brand new series in January.

The weird and wonderful show which sees celebrity contestants dressed in hilarious costumes while singing their hearts out proved to be a massive hit amongst Brits and will be captivating the nation once again with series three.

Some of the costumes that the famous faces will be hiding in include an elaborate Robobunny, a Traffic Cone and an extravagant Chandelier.

In addition to this, there is also an entire outfit styled on doughnuts and another on tartan bagpipes.

Other costumes include a Lionfish, Poodle, Panda and a Snow Leopard.

Presenter Joel Dermott, will once again be making a return to the reality show as host of the competition.

Also returning to the series will be celebrity judging panel, Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan as they try their best to guess who is behind the elaborate masks.

The first series of The Masked Singer saw Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts being crowned champion as she took on the role of Queen Bee.

Earlier this year, singer Joss Stone dressed up as large Sausage and took the crown in season two.

Some of the other famous faces that also took part in the last series included American singer Ne-Yo, comedian Sue Perkins, Spice Girl Mel B, JLS star Aston Merrygold and former footballer and manager Glenn Hoddle.

But as well as the TV programme, fans of The Masked singer will now have the opportunity to see the show live as they the programme will be on tour next year.

Speaking about the live stage production on The One Show, presenter Joel said: “This tour is going to be absolutely incredible!”

He continued: “I’m so thrilled to be hosting proceedings, as we bring all the excitement and drama of the TV series live to an arena near you. And being in arenas means it’s going to be bigger than ever!

“I’m excited to see who the different celebrities are at every show. I don’t know their identities, so I’ll be guessing along with the arena. I can’t wait to get this show on the road in April, it’s going to be epic!”
