Jason Donovan's glamorous daughter who has followed in his Neighbours footsteps

Jason Donovan won the hearts of viewers in the 1980s when he starred in Australian soap Neighbours as Scott Robinson, and it’s not surprising that his real-life lookalike daughter has followed in his acting footsteps.

Jemma Donovan, 21, plays Harlow Robinson, one of the many members of the ever growing Robinson clan.

Harlow is the daughter of Paul Robinson’s villainous, serial killer son Robert Robinson, who tried to kill long-standing character Paul in a dramatic 2007 storyline that resulted in Robert being sent to prison.

Jemma is a lookalike of her father Jason in eighties episodes of the soap, who is fondly remembered in Neighbours for his heartthrob good looks that captured the attention of fans the world over.

His character Scott Robinson was in a relationship with Charlene, played by music icon Kylie Minogue, with over 20 million viewers tuning in to watch Scott and Charlene’s wedding in 1988.

Kylie and Jason later left the soap, launching their singing careers that shot them to new levels of fame across the world, including the release of duet Especially for You.

Before Neighbours, Jemma starred in the spin-off series Erinsborough High in 2019 as Harlow, before following in dad Jason’s footsteps onto the soap.

Her grandad Terrance Donovan also starred in the soap as Doug Willis, making Jemma the third generation of her family to join Neighbours.

Talking on Lorraine, Jemma said her dad was a “great supporter”, saying that he started crying when he found out that she got the role of Harlow.

“He’s just so happy,” said Jemma.

As with many storylines involving the Robinson family, things look set to get interesting as it was recently announced that Harlow will be involved with solving a family mystery in a future storyline.

She will be reunited with her Aunt Harriet, played by Amanda Holden, in London to solve a family mystery concerning Harlow’s mother and Harriet’s late sister Prue, portrayed by Denise Van Outen in 2019.
