Jennifer Love Hewitt, 42, expecting her third child with husband Brian Hallisay

Hollywood star Jennifer Love Hewitt has confirmed that she and her husband Brian Hallisay are expecting their third child together.

The 42-year-old shared the news with her legion of Instagram followers, explaining: “We have another one on the way!”

Brian and the 9-1-1 actress already share two children – son Atticus James, five, and daughter Autumn James, seven.

Announcing their brood was expanding, she penned: “Oh baby! We have another one on the way.

“So excited to finally share this news with all of you,” alongside a snap of a pregnancy test that showcased a positive reading.

She continued: “As part of this exciting moment, I want to help raise awareness for Clearblue partner @marchodimes and their #ItStartsWithMom campaign – which helps provide moms and soon-to-be moms with resources and information on all topics ranging from getting ready to be a mom to maternal mental health and wellness.”

“I encourage you to check out their website and Instagram to see how you can help support women to feel better prepared for pregnancy and what’s to come.”

In a recent interview with People, Jennifer hinted that she would be up for welcoming a new addition to her family of four.

She told the news outlet: “But definitely didn’t think in the crazy year that the entire world was having that it would necessarily be this moment.

“I feel like we’ve been able to so far raise two really special kids who will be great role models.

“This has been such a pleasant, beautiful, surprising gift in this time to be able to get to do all that again with another little human.”

The Golden Globe Award nominee also explained that it was her son who had prompted her to take a pregnancy test after he’d seen a Clear Blue advert on TV.

Jennifer joked that she had been insulted by her son’s comments as she’d just polished off “a big meal” at the time.

Nevertheless, she took the test and it was indeed positive.

In 2015, Jennifer decided to step away from the limelight after the birth of her son Atticus.

The Criminal Minds star told Working Mother that her friends and co-stars didn’t understand her desire to take a break.

Speaking to the publication, she said: “They were like ‘you’re in the middle of a career, you can’t do that’.

“But I was like, ‘I can because that’s what’s in my heart.'”
