Former Loose Women star Jenny Powell would love to star on a rebooted Wheel Of Fortune – and even thought about reviving it herself.
The presenter, who is now 52, is set to mark 35 years on TV this month, after she first appeared on the legendary game show back in 1995.
With Alison Hammond reportedly landed herself the solo hosting role, having filmed a pilot for a new version already, Jenny is in total agreement that it’s great timing to bring the classic programme back.
The TV pin-up had also sought out ideas to bring the 90s classic to life again and consulted with her agent to establish who owned the rights.

Jenny said: “About two years ago I asked my agent who had the rights to it – I said it should be coming back really but didn’t do anything about it.”
When it came to the This Morning host Alison taking on the role, Jenny was full of praise, even offering to step in if needed.
She added: “I think Alison would be great and I’d definitely be there if the offer came up.
“Even if it was just to give advice as I know the rules inside out.”

With the nation currently under lockdown in accordance with government guidelines, the TV starlet couldn’t think of a better time to reprise the show.
“Everybody’s become really nostalgic and it would be great for it to come back, but I’d like it to stay similar to the way it was, not get too much technology involved and keep the rickety wheel that sometimes used to break,” says Jenny.
The show ran from 1998 to 2001. Hosts included John Leslie, Nicky Campbell and Bradley Walsh.

Contestants had to spin a wheel to win points and solve puzzles by uncovering letters on a board.
Jenny had the role of the “glamorous assistant” but fought hard to be taken seriously, proving that she was way more than just “t*ts and teeth”.
She explained: “It was hard for me to be the glamorous assistant because I’d done presenting before.
“I always used to say ‘Why can’t we role swap? Can I be the main host? Can I get Bradley Walsh or Nicky Campbell to turn the letters round please?’
“But it didn’t go down well in that day and age. You knew your place and that was it. You’re the pretty one, you just stand there with a lovely smile. Today that would be unheard of.
“I had to work really hard to get a few lines and I did get quite frustrated. I did fight my corner and do my best so we weren’t just smiling and waving.”
Jenny hosts the weekend breakfast show on Greatest Hits Radio, 6am to 10am, Saturdays and Sundays
