Jeremy Clarkson left furious as wild fox kills 34 of his prized hens

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson has let rip after 34 of his hens were killed.

The Top Gear legend took to social media to vent his fury after a fox managed to get into his coop and cause havoc.

Taking to Twitter, Jeremy, 61, fumed to his 7.3 million followers: “A fox has just killed 34 of my hens.”

After one fan replied he thought the tweet was a joke and that he was ‘waiting for the punchline”, Jeremy bluntly added: “You’ll hear it.”

Speaking in 2019, Jeremy admitted he finds many fox hunter’s ‘pompous’.

Joking he would like to start a battle on his Oxfordshire 1,000 acre farm between those supporting the banned sport and animal rights campaigns.

He told Sunday Times magazine: “What I thought would be fun is to one year invite the hunt and the antis and watch them have a massive battle.”

Prior to his comment, it was widely thought Clarkson was a supporter of the outlawed countryside tradition.

He previously sparked outrage after telling a live audience on Have I Got News For You that he ‘likes to run over’ foxes.

Speaking of former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair, Clarkson accused the controversial leader of “sticking their snouts as often as possible into our daily lives” during his time in Number 10.

Blair’s New Labour made fox hunting illegal via the 2004 Hunting Act.

The Express quoted Clarkson as saying: “Then there’s the fox.

“I’ve never cared about the plight of what is basically an orange dog but then I’ve never cared much for the idiots who charge around the countryside on horses.

“And I don’t think I’m alone on this. Most people are too busy to give a stuff, either way.”
