Jesy Nelson takes barbed swipe at Little Mix and admits 'we're not talking anymore'

Jesy Nelson has admitted she is no longer on speaking terms with her former Little Mix bandmates.

And in a shock dig, she seemingly blamed the feud on them.

Jesy said: “We’re not talking any more. It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best.”

Jesy quit Little Mix last year amid rumours she was struggling to cope with the spotlight.

But she has now insisted she enjoyed her nine-year stint in the chart-topping group.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, she said: “I loved my time with them and we’ve got the most incredible memories together but It’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows.

“To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world.”

Jesy has since launched a solo career and teamed up with Nicki Minaj on her new single Boyz.

Confirming plans to release a full album in 2022, she said: “An album hopefully next year. I’m still in the writing process and I don’t want to rush things.”

When Jesy left Little Mix last year she admitted she had been finding life in the band too tough to deal with.

She said: “I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.”

She also said: “The truth is, recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.”

Little Mix stars Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall were on good terms with Jesy at the time and wished her well.

They said: “We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being. We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over.

“We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us.”
