Joel Dommett issues stern warning to this year's I'm A Celebrity contestants

Presenter Joel Dommett has shared his top advice for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here campmates as the new series prepares to launch.

Joel was 2016’s runner-up after being pipped to the post by former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.

When chatting to the Daily Star at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards on Saturday evening, he revealed what the new bunch should definitely avoid doing.

He said: “Don’t sleep in the daytime and go in the Bush telegraph as much as you possibly can.”

The Masked Singer presenter also went on to add that his jungle journey was much more difficult than it looked to viewers.

Joel then added: “It’s harder than what you watch on television because you’re just so hungry all the time. If they showed how much you complained about how hungry you are then they would have a really boring television programme.”

This comes after Westlife’s Kian Egan has warned I’m A Celebrity hopefuls that it’s tough to “break the rules”.

The singer who was crowned King of the Jungle in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2013 has given new stars who will feature in this year’s show some helpful advice.

Kian beat fashion designer David Emanuel for the crown on the ITV show eight years ago, and at the time said it was “probably one of the best three weeks of my life”.

Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress, said Kian deserved the top spot.

However, new celebrities are to embark on treacherous trials this winter, and Kian’s advice could make or break their time on the reality series.

Speaking to Daily Star at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, he said: “Bring loads of sweets. It’s hard to break the rules in there…

“I was in Australia so very different but I would say stop eating before you go!

“Eat less a couple of weeks before you go in and stop drinking coffee because I had a headache in there for three days as you are only allowed to drink water.”
