Jonathan Ross makes cheeky Meghan and Harry royal feud dig with Queen gag

Jonathan Ross couldn’t resist making a cheeky joke about controversial royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the debut episode of The Masked Dancer.

The kooky show sees a celebrity panel try and work out who is dancing behind their masks in a week long spin-off series from 2020 hit The Masked Dancer.

After mystery contestant Beetroot performed, the judges, consisting of Davina McCall, Oti Mabuse, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan, all gave their best guesses.

The panel were all confused about who the star could be prompting host Joel Dommett to give an extra clue.

An extra clue teased: “If her Majesty knew I had a [something] [something] at home she would make salad of me.”

While the judges looked baffled, TV host Jonathan Ross chuckled: “Could it be Meghan and Harry at home?”

The joke went down well with the studio audience who all laughed loudly at the dig.

Over the past few weeks Harry and Meghan’s feud with the Royal family has taken a turn for the worst after Prince Harry made a series of public digs.

While Meghan has remained out of the spotlight in their Californian home, Harry has thrown a series of what he calls ‘truth bombs’ about his family.

Appearing on Apple TV’s The Me You Can’t See, Prince William’s brother told Oprah Winfrey how he believes his father Prince Charles failed as a parent.

Not stopping there he went on to claim Charles’ actions were in part due to how he was raised.

The comment indirectly criticised the late Duke of Edinburgh and Her Majesty The Queen herself.

Appearing on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Harry also spoke frankly about growing up in the royal family.

He explained how the tragic death of his mother Princess Diana gravely effected him decades down the line.

Harry also admitted to using both alcohol and drugs to mask the pain he was feeling in his late twenties.
