“Severe flooding in the storms on Monday night so woke up on Tuesday morning to find…we live on a hill – so you come in the door at one level and you go down the steps to the back garden – everything underneath completely flooded.”

“Oh no,” exclaimed Charlotte.

Kate added: “Completely flood. Total nuisance. Total nightmare.”

She went on to reveal that close family members help her throughout the crisis, including husband Derek Draper’s father.

“Thanks to Grandad, Derek’s dad, and Auntie Di, we have managed to clear it all out,” she said.

However, Kate said that she has hopes for a pleasant weekend ahead as her son Billy shall be having a birthday party but the flooding has caused a minor problem.

“The only problem is that it’s Billy’s birthday tomorrow,” noted Kate.

“Oh you’ve got some good weather which is lovely then,” Charlotte added.

Kate continued: “Well, that’s exactly what I thought. It’s absolutely lovely, we’ve got good weather and it’s going to be a paddling pool party.

“The only problem is in the clear out we’ve thrown away the pool.”

“Oh no,” responded a concerned Charlotte.

Kate confirmed: “I’m not joking.”

“If you need anything this weekend it is a pool,” said Alex.

Kate went on to discuss her hunt for a replacement pool, with the nearest being 499 miles from her house.

She told viewers watching at home it was a “blatant plea” to anyone with a large paddling pool for the event as they only had a small one for Billy’s 12th birthday party.
