Kerry Katona left heartbroken as her 'crazy, beautiful' aunt dies tragically

Atomic Kitten star and TV personality Kerry Katona posted a touching tribute to her aunt, who was “more my sister” on Instagram today after she passed away yesterday.

Kerry, 40, shared a snap of the two of them together on a beach with their arms around each other in a tight embrace.

In another picture, Ang had her arms around Kerry’s neck as they hugged in what looked to be a back garden.

There was even an adorable snap from Kerry’s time on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

In it, she clutches a cuddly kangaroo and has her aunt’s arms around her.

Another picture showed the pair beaming as they drank cocktails on holiday.

She captioned the photos: “My crazy, beautiful Aunty (more my sister) sadly passed away yesterday! We’re all absolutely heartbroken!

“Oh Ang I really wish I could rewind and tell you how much I love you and I always wanted to be you when I was little. I should of done more!

“I love you Angela! My big sister! We had soooo many great adventures together. I can’t believe I’m even writing this post.”

Kerry is no stranger to loss, having lost her Aunty Josie back in 2019.

Her mum’s sister passed away in March 2019, when Kerry was 38.

She also revealed she was struck down by Covid-19 last year and had to deal with trolls who suggested she had been “paid” to “pretend” she had the illness.

In retaliation, Kerry shared a text confirmation of her positive result from the NHS.

She suffered a terrible cough at the time, but has thankfully since recovered, and has even gone as far as teasing an appearance on the Masked Singer UK.

She told The Daily Star: “Yeah, I would love to do The Masked Singer. They’ve actually thought it was me a few times.”
