Lady Gaga's alleged 'dognappers' arrested along with woman who 'found' the pets

Lady Gaga’s alleged dognappers, along with the woman who allegedly found the dogs, have been arrested.

The attack occurred in February and resulted in the singer’s dog walker being shot and injured and two of her dogs being stolen.

Variety reports that five people were arrested on Tuesday and charged yesterday (April 29) in connection with the ‘dognapping’.

Three suspects, identified as James Jackson, 18, Jaylin White, 19, and Lafayette Whaley, 27 were charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.

All three are documented gang members.

According to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, Jackson is accused of being the gunman and faces additional charges of assault with a firearm and possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle.

It is claimed that they chose to try and steal the bulldogs because their high value and they did not know that they were the dogs of Lady Gaga.

The pop star offered a reward of $500,000 for the return of her dogs but when they were found was advised by the police not to pay up as they were suspicious of the so called rescuer.

The woman who allegedly found the pups has now been named as Jennifer McBride, and she has been arrested as well.

Jennifer is said to have returned the dogs to the police two nights after the attack, in response the reward offer.

Variety allege that Jennifer was in a relationship with Harold White, the father of Jaylin and another gang member, who has also been arrested.

He and Jennifer are accused of acting as accessories after the fact, while Jennifer was also charged with receiving stolen property, and Harold accused of gun possession.

The five suspects pleaded not guilty at an arraignment on Thursday afternoon.

On February 24 Lady Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot while walking her pet pooches, Koji, Miss Asia and Gustavo.

The 34-year-old’s beloved pets were snatched by thieves while Miss Asia managed to run away and escape.

Video of the horrific incident showed Ryan screaming for help as was being attacked by men as they tried to shove the dogs into a white sedan.

A gunshot can be heard and then Ryan screaming: “”I’ve been shot, I’m bleeding out of my heart, of my lung, I’m bleeding out of my chest.”

He was recently released from hospital after having to get part of his lung removed.

In a post along with her reward offer Lady Gaga wrote: ““I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family,” she wrote. “You’re forever a hero.”
