Liam Gallagher brands brother Noel a 'f***ing poser' in latest Twitter takedown

Liam Gallagher has branded his brother Noel a “f***king poser” in one of his latest Twitter pot-shots.

The former Oasis frontman took a sly dig at his older sibling after one fan asked him: “Do you think Noel was the best composer of the 90s?”

In front of his 3.4million Twitter followers, Liam responded with: “He was a ‘f***ing poser’.”

It’s not the first time Liam, who is now enjoying a successful solo career, has taken aim at Noel.

And it’s usually via social media that the iconic singer, now 48, takes aim at his brother.

The pair have been at logger-heads ever since the legendary indie broke up in August 2009.

An acrimonious split led to Noel, who has toasted solo success of his own with his High Flying Birds, driving away minutes before a sell-out Paris show after a big row with Liam.

Not long afterwards Noel announced, via Oasis’ website: “I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

However, Liam’s latest outburst – surprisingly for some – comes just a few weeks after Noel labelled his brother’s song Songbird as the “perfect” record.

Speaking to the Matt Morgan Podcast, Noel said: “I thought Songbird by Liam was great, it sounds like The Beatles.

“It became this acoustic thing that I think is perfect.”

But in a dig Noel later added: “The ironic thing about song is that he doesn’t even f***ing play it now, work that one out.

“He’s only got one tune and that’s it, and he’s not playing the f***ing tune.”

It’s long been rumoured that Oasis will re-form, just like fellow iconic Manchester band The Stone Roses did a decade ago.

But the battling brothers have been at loggerheads for over a decade and, although Liam has been vocal in his desire for a big comeback, Noel has always thrown cold water on the idea.

Former Oasis manager Alan McGee, however, believes that Liam could sell out Knebworth himself, 25 years after Oasis’ legendary concerts in front of 250,000 fans at the venue.

“I would say he’s almost as big as Oasis,” revealed McGee, in an interview with NME.

“He’s massive, Liam, at this point.

“Knebworth – it would be a piece of p*** to be perfectly honest. And it’s definitely going to happen.”
