Loose Women fans floored as Janet Street-Porter fumes at being named after a rat

Loose Women fans flooded Twitter with hilarious comments after Janet Street-Porter was left fuming on Wednesday’s show after she was named after a rat.

The panel, which also included Jane Moore, Gloria Hunniford and Brenda Edwards all erupted into fits of laughter as the picture of the rodent appeared on the screen.

Prior to the break, Jane had told viewers that Janet had been the inspiration for a “royal baby name” but never did she dream it would have been a toothy creature.

Janet couldn’t contain her anger as she blurted out on the show that she felt deeply “insulted” by the gesture and that she instead “wanted to be named after a Meerkat”.

As the picture of the animal gravitated onto the screen, Brenda could be heard giggling in the background before Janet had even had a chance to say how she felt.

The media personality who is never lost for words was speechless at first – until Jane prompted if she was thankful.
