Loose Women's Frankie Bridge says she avoided 'sexy' contact during Strictly

Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge talked about how the focus on “chemistry” on Strictly Come Dancing frustrated her when she danced on the show.

The panel were discussing romance rumours between singletons AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, with Brenda Edwards admiring their saucy routines.

She excitedly talked about their passion on the show, but Frankie said she hated all of the focus and scrutiny between the couples.

Frankie appeared on the show in 2014 with Kevin Clifton, and said she held back with “sexy” contact during rehearsals.

“It’s awkward!” she fumed. “At the end of the dance they always say’ Oh, such chemistry’ and ‘we can really feel it’.

“It’s a dance, it’s acting! Can you not say that at the end of every performance?” she complained.

Christine Lampard asked about Frankie’s husband: “What did Wayne think, viewing at home”?

“As far as I know, he was fine. I’m sure it’s not easy, but if it was me I would watch him and be proud of him,” insisted Frankie.

Talking about AJ’s sexy moments, she said: “In moments like that, I think I would be a bit like – oh okay!” pulling a face.

Frankie explained she held back during rehearsals: “I used to say to Kevin, I’ll do it that sexier in the actual performance or like, I’ll stroke your shoulder in the actual performance.”

Defending Kai and AJ, she said: “You do get really close and you get on really well. There may well not be anything going on. That could just be great performance, great friendship, and there’s nothing going on.”

Brenda interrupted: “There’s something going on, don’t even try that!”

“I just feel bad for even discussing it!” said Frankie.

Brenda insisted: “If you’re happy in your marriage, then I’d like to think that that just helps you to learn something that you can take back to your partner and teach them what to do.”

Frankie laughed: “Oh no, I tried to teach Wayne and that just didn’t work.”
