Love Island Faye Winter's family breaks silence on explosive scenes with Teddy

Love Island star Faye Winter’s family have spoken out over the explosive scenes which saw the star let rip at Teddy Soares during a foul-mouthed argument.

The couple were involved in dramatic argument on Friday night’s episode.

It came after unseen Casa Amor clips of Teddy were shared to the villa showing him making comments about a sexual attraction to former islander babe Clarisse Juliette.

Faye could then be seen screaming at the hunk despite his attempts to talk to her.

At one point she said: “I’m done with this conversation. If you wanna speak about my reaction based on your actions, you can f**k off. My reaction was only based on your f**king actions, so f**k off.”

Faye’s loved ones broke their silence on Sunday afternoon and shared a message to fans on Instagram.

A statement shared on Faye’s official Instagram story read: “We understand that fans of Love Island have opinion on Friday night’s episode.

“While we don’t want to comment on the events of the show, we ask everyone to remember: You are watching a highly edited TV show which is created for entertainment – you can never see the full picture.

Faye’s family shared a statement on her Instagram page on Sunday

“Faye is human. She may not always get things right. There are human beings managing the Islander’s social media pages who will be seriously effected by your comments.”

It continued: “We ask that everyone please remembers this before commenting or messaging.

“We make so apology for turning off comments, blocking and deleting to protect the mental well-being of oursevles and Faye when she comes out.

“We would encourage anyone struggling to do the same thing.

“We hope that we can all get back enjoying the show together from now on. Love Team Faye x.”

The statement from Faye’s family comes hours after Love Island bosses responded to fans who took to Ofcom following Faye’s “terrifying” behaviour towards Teddy.

In a statement to the Mirror, A series spokesperson said: “Welfare and duty of care towards our contributors is always our primary concern, and we take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously.

“We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset.

They added: “All the Islanders are therefore fully supported by the professionals on-site and by their friends in the villa.

“Islanders can always reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub
