Love Island's Abigail 'has a game plan' and 'naive' Toby 'can't help himself'

Love Island fans were stunned last night when seemingly solid couple Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows parted ways, following the arrival of bombshell tattoo artist, Abigail Rawlings.

Stunning brunette Abigail, 27, set her sights on Toby the moment she walked into the villa.

Furious scenes followed, after Abigail repeatedly pulled Toby for a chat, asking him to “link” arms with her in front of Chloe as they walked across to the fire pit.

Chloe wasn’t having any of it and confronted Toby, and a surprise recoupling saw Chloe panic as Abigail ended up coupling up with the semi-professional footballer instead.

Many viewers are confused as to what happened, and are questioning whether Abigail is genuinely interested in Toby, or if she just wanted to cause drama.

Body language expert Rhian Kivits says while Abi does definitely have a plan, fans shouldn’t write her off just yet.

After watching footage of her pulling Toby for a chat, Rhian says: “Abi seems genuinely attracted to Toby. She has an ultra feminine air about her in the way she asks flirty questions, giggling and smiling every time.

“Toby’s head is absolutely turned by Abi. He knows that he’s being drawn away from Chloe, but he can’t seem to help himself. He comes across as naive when he’s chatting to Abi and he’s clearly tempted by her eye contact and attention.

She adds: “He realises that getting to know Abi will cause trouble between himself and Chloe but instead of asserting boundaries and staying loyal to his partner, he’s flustered and acting as if he’s conflicted about how to handle the situation.

Oh dear, Toby. It didn’t turn out well, and Rhian says Abi knew exactly what she was doing to get her man.

“Of course Abi has a game plan. Making sure Toby linked arms with her as they walked across the villa was a clear statement to Chloe and the other Islanders that she intends to steal this man.

“She’s doing her best to take charge of her interactions with Toby because she’s leading the conversation and not afraid to say openly that he should choose her. But having a game plan doesn’t mean her attraction to Toby isn’t genuine.

“She’s already decided that she wants him and it’s obvious that she’s the kind of girl who knows exactly how to get what she fancies.

Apparently Abi’s plan was one of the oldest tricks in the book, says Rhian.

“When she asked Toby to link arms with her and walk across the villa, she made out that it would help her balance on her high heels.

“She used a subtle, yet classic, seduction tactic there, pandering to Toby’s male ego by saying she needed his help while inviting physical contact as part of the process.

“Boys love to be made to feel strong and important like that, especially when they’re physically attracted to a girl.

Is this coupling going to last longer than Toby did with Kaz or Chloe?

Rhian isn’t sure: “Whether Abi and Toby are really a match remains to be seen though, because Toby’s boyish mannerisms suggest that he has a lot to learn about what women really want.

“Abi won’t want to take the lead forever, so if he wants to form a relationship with her, he’s going to need to step up and become less of a pushover.”
