Love Island's Chloe Crowhurst rushed to hospital after serious car accident

Former Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst has revealed she was rushed to hospital after being in a “serious car accident” and is in “a lot of pain and distress”.

The 24-year-old, who was on Love Island in 2017, took to Instagram to share her worrying news after leaving hospital.

She wrote: “Hi guys, I’ve just been collected from hospital due to being in a serious car accident. I won’t be responding to anyone until I can. I’m in a lot of pain, and distress.”

The Essex babe could be seen in what appeared to be a hospital gown as she travelled home in a car.

Chloe starred on the same season of Love Island as the likes of Olivia Attwood, Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes.

Before the show, she had dated Jon Clark, who also first found fame on Love Island in 2015 before joining the cast of TOWIE.

Chloe had been one of the originals to enter the villa in 2017, but was the fourth person to be dumped, following Harley Judge, Tyne-Lexy Clarson and Jessica Shears.

During her time in the villa, she had been coupled up with Kem Cetinary, Chris Hughes and Sam Gowland, though failed to find any romance.

Her ex Jon had been unhappy to see her going on the show, but she recently confessed she went on because she discovered he had cheated on her.

Speaking on the Celebrity Skin Talk podcast with Scott McGlynn, the blonde bombshell said: “On Wednesday I found out he’d been messaging other girls and then on Friday I got called up saying ‘Come onto Love Island.’ And I said no, because of all this stuff going on with Jon, who has also been on Love Island.

“I had people, producers, turning up at my old work in Canary Wharf begging me to come on the show and I was like, ‘No I’m not doing it.'”

But she added: “I was in such a bad headspace at the time I just didn’t want to find love. I was already in love, I loved my ex-boyfriend.

“They were turning up at my work and felt really pressured and one day they were like ‘I’ve booked you a flight,’ and I told them ‘See you later I ain’t doing it, I’ve told you numerous times I’m not doing it.’

“Then two days later I started getting loads of messages from people and I thought what better revenge than to go onto Love Island?”

The new series of Love Island starts next Monday, and the first batch of islanders was revealed earlier this week.

The original islanders are: Aaron Francis, Brad McClelland, Chloe Burrows, Faye Winter, Hugo Hammond, Jake Cornish, Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Shannon Singh, Sharon Gaffka and Toby Aromolaran.

Love Island kicks off on June 28 at 9pm on ITV2
