Love Island's Lucinda offered job at major business after moving on from Brad

Love Island contestant Lucinda Strafford has come under fire this week by fans for not leaving with ex-coupled up beau Brad McClelland, who let her stay so she could have more “opportunities” – and it turns out she’s already got them rolling in.

Viewers were angry that she didn’t leave with the northern lad as they appeared to have built up a strong bond in the week they had known each other, but it seems like it worked in her favour already as she’s been offered a role at one of the nation’s biggest businesses.

Since Brad’s departure from the villa on Wednesday, it took the beauty no time at all in moving on with fellow contestant Aaron Francis, as they expressed interest in each other in Thursday’s episode.

Thursday night’s episode of the ITV2 dating show saw Lucinda make a move on Aaron, with her telling him he was her “number 2”, despite telling Brad she didn’t fancy anyone else in the villa.

Lucinda and Aaron’s behaviour led to a whole host of tweets about the fact she couldn’t even wait until Brad was “on his plane home” before having her head turned – including one from a very notable UK company.

Supermarket chain Aldi wrote: “We need to get Lucinda on checkouts because she moves FAST #LoveIsland.”

Aldi Stores UK posted the comment to its 578k followers and sparked a social media frenzy with fans cracking up at the comical statement.

One reposted the quote with a note above saying: “Lmfao Lucinda only wanted a PrettyLittleThing brand deal… now she’s getting an Aldi one lucky girl.”

The shopping business jokingly replied: “Some would say the real prize of the show.”

A second fan wrote: “Aldi social media team is incomparable.”

While a third penned: “Imagine Lucinda coming out of Love Island and seeing she got dragged by Aldi I love this so much.”

A fourth said: “Another great tweet from the Aldi social media team.”

This also follows the news that ex-Islander Brad has now broken his silence on Lucinda’s villa escapades.

Brad returned to Instagram for the first time in weeks uploaded a video where he said: “I just want to do a quick message to say thanks everyone that showed ‘us support on the show.

“It’s been an absolute blast and I hope I’ve made you all proud.”
