Love Island's Michael Griffiths rushes to A&E as 'throat closes' from hayfever

Love Island star Michael Griffiths dashed to hospital after his “throat closed up” and he struggled to breathe.

The reality TV star rushed to A&E for medical attention when he was filming his new MTV show.

But his hayfever got so severe the panicked star raced to the hospital to be looked over.

After the mad dash on Monday, the celeb updated fans on social media.

He said on his Instagram story: “So, as you can tell my voice has gone back to normal, but I’ll give you a little update.

“My hayfever was so bad yesterday it was like my throat closed up. I did go to A&E thanks to Danny there, who took me to A&E. They quoted a six-hour wait. I mean, my throat’s closing up.”

He continued: “Anyway, they sent an ambulance, the paramedic called me, and then she said that I was of no concern – no imminent concern of harm – so she told me to just go to bed and chill out. So I took another antihistamine and I woke up like this. Oh yeah, it’s back.”

He wrote on the Story: “I did have to sleep sat up though as recommended by the paramedic & my sister.”

When one follower mocked his hayfever on his latest post he replied to the insensitive comment.

He responded that it had “fully written him off”.

However, the star seemed to be in better health yesterday morning as he was geared up for a gym session.

Michael, 29, is currently filming alongside Jordan Hames, Chris Taylor, and Danny Williams.

The lads met during the fifth series of Love Island in 2019.
