Matt LeBlanc became an instant household name when won the role of the lovable, bighearted ladies man Joey Tribbiani on the the hit show Friends.

Of all of the cast members, Matt was the only one to be offered to do a Friends a spin-off series. His show, entitled Joey, ran from 2004 to 2006. Matt then appeared in the UK comedy Episodes.

In 2016 Le Blanc joined the BBC’s motoring show Top Gear after Jeremy Clarkson quit, surprising his legions of fans who were unaware of his passion for cars and motoring.

He left the show after 4 seasons and compared to the other cast members took on less acting roles and has appeared in only a few television shows and films.

It is thought that Matt amassed most of his fortune, which is estimated at $80 million (£58 million), whilst playing Joey on Friends.

Like the the rest of the cast, after the first season they negotiated a substantial pay raise that went from $22,00 (£14.7Kg) per episode to $100,000 (£63k) per episode, which by the final season increased to $1million (£53k)

When they negotiated their new contracts, the cast managed to broker a deal that would include them in payments from syndication rights, something that only Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld had done previously.

Due to the popularity of the show, which is syndicated around the world and gives Warner Bros an annual revenue of $1 billion dollars (£720 million), the cast receive 2% of that revenue.

By 2016 Matt Bumped up his net worth by landing a role in the TV. Series Man with a Plan. The show lasted 4 seasons and he reportedly earned $200,000 (£141.,00), an episode. His fee as a presenter for four seasons on Top Gear earned him a cool $2 million (£1.4 million) before he quit in 2019.

Matt is also appearing in the Friends Reunion episode, which airs today, May 27.

The cast members are reportedly getting paid between £1.7million and £2.1million for the one-hour long reunion special, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
