Meghan Markle 'will fight back' against Piers jibes as she 'doesn't like losing'

Meghan Markle isn’t planning to stay silent much longer after Piers Morgan’s blistering attacks, according to royal biographer Angela Levin.

Piers has long since stood by his scathing comments about the Duchess of Sussex, maintaining during his interview with US host Tucker Carlson that he “still doesn’t believe” much of what she said.

He elaborated that there were at least 17 allegations made by Meghan that he did not believe, including that she and Prince Harry had a secret private wedding three days before they officially swapped vows.

But top palace insider Angela Levin insists Meghan will “want to fight back”.

She told Mike Graham on TalkRADIO: “I think it is a bit like a verbal boxing match.

“Each of them wins a round and the other one comes back and is more spiteful or more difficult or says more things.

“They have one thing in common and that is neither of them likes to lose out.

“So they carry on punching away.”

Angela went on: “I imagine that the lawyers are working out if there is a sentence or a verb or something that Piers said that they could jump on.

Piers disputed 17 of Meghan’s claims after her interview with Oprah

“So I think it is a bit precipitous actually to say she hasn’t come back yet.

“She is a very determined woman, heavily pregnant or not. She will want to fight back.”

Meghan and Harry have so far remained silent following Piers’ on air row with Alex Beresford which preceded his Good Morning Britain storm-off, and his subsequent tell-all interview on Fox.

But members of the Royal Family have allegedly reached out to him to share their gratitude.

Piers told Billy Bush on Extra: “I’ve had some messages communicated to me on behalf of several members of the Royal Family.

“I’m not going to go into who it was… but gratitude that somebody was standing up,” he continued.

Piers’s GMB walk-off prompted a record-breaking number of Ofcom complaints last month, raking in more than 57,000 comments from disgruntled viewers.

The contentious broadcaster made waves when he cast doubt on Meghan’s assertions that she had considered taking her own life and reached out to the palace for help, which was refused.

He also said her claims that Archie was denied a title due to his skin colour were “complete nonsense”.

But Piers sparked backlash from weather presenter Alex Beresford and former co-host Susanna Reid, who read out a “frosty” statement on the show after his exit.

Piers said his “ex-wife talks more fondly about me than that”.
