Miriam Margolyes brands Donald Trump an 'A*****e' in fiery GMB attack

Harry Potter actress Miriam Margolyes stunned Good Morning Britain viewers on Thursday morning after appearing live on the show.

The outspoken star, who previously said she wanted Boris Johnson dead, was booked to talk to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard about her role in new Wallace and Gromit series.

However, after quickly admitting she has never seen Wallace and Gromit but was pleased to have been asked to take part, Miriam let rip at Donald Trump.

Speaking her mind when it came to the horrendous scenes that unfolded at The Capitol last week, Miriam said: “I am astonished and disgusted.

“I know this is a morning show but with Trump it ends with hole and starts with an A.

“He is a dangerous facist.

“It looks like there was planning with the Capitol attack. I long to see the back of him.

“America is a sweet country but there is a of silly people in it and they need to be smacked.”

Miriam was then told that despite widespread condemnation of his actions for the past four years, Trump picked up the second most votes in US political history last November.

Miriam added: “Oh realise that but luckily there are few more million who agree with me but it is going to take a long time to sort.

“It was going to take generations.

“I think it dates back to the civil war and I think racism is at the back of it.”

Later on in the interview she rounded on those in the UK who are campaigning against the coronavirus vaccine.

Not holding back, she fumed: “Those anti-vaxxers are nuts.

“They need their heads seen to – it is ridiculous. I am hoping to get one as soon as possible.”

Miriam, who has been living in her Italian second home since August, says while she would prefer not to comeback to the UK until she has to return in order to get the vaccine.
