N-Dubz icon Dappy saves man's life as he talks him down from Tower Bridge

N-Dubz’s Costadinos Contostavlos, who is best known to fans as Dappy, recently saved a man’s life, after he managed to persuade him to not jump off London’s Tower Bride on this week.

After seeing the man perched on London’s Tower Bridge, Dappy, 34, who was recording his new music video in the area at the time decided to intervene, according to The Sun.

Police were also called to the scene and tried to do their best to rescue the stranger too.

Fortunately, the 27-year-old who was perched on the bridge was a “huge fan” of N-Dubz and called the artist over to him once he realised he was in the area.

The man also informed the police that he wanted a few minutes alone with the musician.

Dappy managed to persuade the young man not to take his life and he was later taken to St Thomas’s hospital where he was sectioned.

The young man has since been discharged from hospital and has reached out to Dappy to thank him for saving his life, and the young man’s sister has also thanked Dappy according to sources.

Speaking on the incident further, a source said: “Dappy was filming his new music video around Tower Bridge, but saw loads of police cars and ambulances dotted around.

“The bridge got closed off, and police asked him to leave the area.

“As he was walking away, Dappy heard this young guy shouting his name and waving frantically as he was perched precariously in an arch directly over the Thames.

“After telling a constable he was a fan, Dappy was invited under the cordon to try.

The source also that the Dappy told the young man that life was “beautiful” and he still had so much to live for.

Since topping the charts as one third of N-Dubz, Dappy has had a prosperous solo career and has had hits with singles Oh My and No Regrets.

Recently the singer/rapper released his new single, Bolo featuring Abra Cadabra from his upcoming mixtape Fortune.

Dappy has declined to comment on the incident that took place at London Bridge.
