Naked Attraction's Anna Richardson wants Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to strip off on show

Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson wants Changing Rooms pal Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to whip off his leather trousers for a celeb show.

The Daily Star Sunday revealed last month the idea was shelved after not enough brave personalities stepped forward.

Anna says: “We wrapped on the new series last week – it’s really funny – but we are always looking for celebs to come on Naked Attraction.

“All you need to do is see how Laurence packs out those leather trousers to realise he would be an enormous addition.

“I will be petitioning him from now until kingdom come to encourage him and his wife Jackie to get in one of them pods together.

“He would own the studio.”

The pair are new-found telly chums after working together on the Channel 5 reboot of Changing Rooms.

After ratings dipped, the show’s future is uncertain, but Anna adds: “I’m keeping everything crossed there will be another series because I would love for it to come back.

“If there is a series two I want to go bigger, better, bolder and more horrific – make it a whole lot ghastlier than series one.

“Everybody wants to improve their home, but you want a bit of comedy and entertainment in there as well, which is where hopefully Changing Rooms comes in.

“You never know what you’re going to get with it.

“Bring it back because we could all do with a laugh.”

But Anna will stop short at letting the team anywhere near her own flat, saying: “When they did the transformation half the time I would be like, ‘What have you done to this poor person’s front room?’

“In my home, all the walls are white, elephant’s breath or a take on grey.

“What I learned from doing Changing Rooms is never let Laurence anywhere near your property and try to get a restraining order on him. Who allowed this man to be exhumed from the grave?

“Don’t let him anywhere near your house.”

Anna has now teamed up with tech-led estate agents Purplebricks on its new TikTok high-speed home sales guide.

Its research found 26% of house-hunters said they would decide on a property within seconds of setting foot inside and 60% said they would only view it if the online advert impressed.

Anna says: “We make up our minds about houses faster than we do about what food we’re going to eat and what we’re going to watch on TV, so it makes sense Purplebricks are saying use TikTok to show your home off to its best.”

After struggling with the lack of socalising during the pandemic, Anna is pleased to be getting out and about again.

She adds: “Like a winkle I’m easing myself back into poking out into real life and went to see Ricky Gervais do stand-up recently.

“Lockdown has been ghastly for all of us. I struggled with the isolation and the solitary nature of it.

“I want to be going into a place of work where you can take the p*** with your colleagues around the toaster.”

The pandemic has raised awareness about the state of social care in the UK – something Anna is passionate about seeing improve after her father entered the system.

She says: “My dad’s vascular dementia is a cause of enormous pain for me and my family.

‘The way we deliver care in this country is a disgrace.

“There’s fantastic carers out there who get paid f*** all – it needs a complete overhaul.

“Successive governments have been an absolute disgrace at tackling that.

“What kind of society are we that we cart our elderly generation into a care home where we let them sit watching This Morning – it’s awful. It’s about stimulation and quality of life.”

Bolstered by other female stars discussing their experiences with the menopause like her pal Davina McCall, Anna, 51, also hopes it’s an area which will be given more support.

She says: “Menopause is one of the most challenging rites of passage a woman is going to go through.

“I’ve found it tremendously difficult and am about to go back on HRT to see if that makes a difference to the quality of my life.”

She adds: “I’m concerned about my health, rather than being thin.

“My priority is trying not to get diabetes, to not get osteoporosis and making sure my mental health is good.”
