Nikki Grahame £70k treatment fund to be donated to charity after her funeral

Nikki Grahame’s £70,000 fan pledged fund to help her recover from her anorexia will now be used to pay for her funeral.

Fans had rallied around the Big Brother legend earlier year after shocking images were released via a GoFundMe page showing the extend of her life long battle with anorexia.

Nikki’s friends and family managed to raise just shy of £69,000 which was set to pay for her to receive private medical support.

It was thought that the treatment cost £25,000 a month.

Heartbreakingly she passed away before finding space at a facility.

The GoFund me page has now been updated with new plants for the money.

A new statement read: “An amount will be used for the funeral costs and the remaining funds will be used to go towards an organisation that helps those suffering with eating disorders, the crucial funding that has been lacking to help people in these awful situations has not been addressed, we will use this money to the best of our ability to try and stem this horrific, debilitating illness.”

The message added: “We also would like to thank people who have sent private messages with lovely words about Nikki, she would be so thankful.”

Nikki had battles with anorexia from the age of eight and wrote two books about her struggles.

The starlet shot to fame in 2006 when she took part in Big Brother 7 alongside Aisleyne Horgan Wallace and Pete Bennett.

She became known for her temper tantrums and Diary Room histrionics, including an infamous “who is she?” rant. She also formed a relationship with the show’s eventual winner Pete Bennett, but their romance ended a month after they left the house.

Her death was announced last weekend prompting an outpouring of social media tributes from fellow celebs and supporters alike.

A statement said: “It is with immeasurable sadness that Nikki Grahame passed away in the early hours of Friday 9th April 2021.”

Nikki was just 38-years-old.

Big Brother host Davina quickly lead tributes tweeting: “I am so desperately sad to hear about Nikki Grahame x my thoughts are with her friends and family xx she really was the funniest , most bubbly sweetest girl x.”
