Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen 'disappoints' fans with roast dinner post

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has divided fans with a roast dinner Instagram post.

The star, who has expressed that she may not continue to live at the famous Ravenseat Farm in the future due to her children’s differing attitudes to rural life, keeps dividing her fans with her Instagram adverts.

The star has started to accept paid promotions on Instagram, which has caused a stir with her followers.

The 46-year-old has received a lot of backlash over her latest paid promotion with Morrisons and her followers are divided by the farmer promoting supermarkets.

In a set of photos posted on Sunday, which racked up over 13,000 likes, Amanda’s caption read: “#ad Last week we sat down for a roast dinner, with the centrepiece of the meal being a delicious leg of lamb from @morrisons.

“Morrisons is one of British farming’s biggest customers and everything on its butcher’s counters is 100% British so we certainly wouldn’t want to waste any of it.

“We don’t like unnecessarily throwing food away and that’s why we try to utilise all aspects of a joint of meat. Whether that’s the leftover veggies going to the chickens or it’s the bone from our dinner being used to make a broth.

Paired with some onions and carrots from our Morrisons order, this lamb stock will help us to create another gorgeous family meal!”

One fan said: “Morrisons, lamb, how disappointed l am. So much so l’m unfollowing you.”

Another expressed: “I love your program and think your family are beautiful but I really don’t enjoy you endorsing Morrison’s or any other advert ! Sorry but it seems to go against everything you stand for.”

A third wrote: “Lost some of the authenticity and the honesty for me and I have been a huge fan but it just seems a bit staged now.”

And fourth commented: “Love your show but I am disappointed to see you going down the advertising route.”

While another wrote: “You have 1000 sheep on your land but go to morrisons for your leg of lamb”

Although the post has received a lot of backlash, Amanda and her family still have dedicated fans who flocked to the comments section to stick up for the star.

One fan wrote: “God there’s some miserable Tw@ts on here ! #leave Amanda alone she’s providing for her family and future she should enjoy and take full advantage of any opportunity that comes her way.”

A second said: “Amanda’s post states that Morrisons support the British farming industry, I think she’s more than entitled to endorse them if it helps to secure her family’s future.”

While another chimed in: “OMG so what if she does #ads. If u have actually seen the show, you would see how hard Amanda & Clive & their kids work, so why shouldn’t she do a bloody ad to earn extra cash. Jeez get a LIFE.”
