Pete Doherty looks unrecognisable as he shows off dramatic weight loss on stage

Pete Doherty has stunned everyone again – but this time he’s shredded the pounds.

The Libertines hitmaker, 42, looked unrecognisable as he gigged with his fellow bandmates at the Manchester Academy in front of adoring fans.

In the snaps, Pete looked reformed and dashing as he performed centre stage with his guitar strapped across his chest.

For the event, Pete, who dated the late Amy Winehouse before she passed away in 2011, wore a navy blue t-shirt underneath a striking grey two-piece suit, along with a matching flat cap.

The musician had also ditched his long fascial hair and instead boasted a thin groomed moustache.

Earlier this year, Pete had been spotted looking totally different as he walked his dog close to his home in Normandy, France.

The band member had blamed his love of Comté cheese on toast for his newer fuller-looking figure.

At the time, the Libertine’s star confessed he’d been “mostly clean” from drugs after he’d kicked the habit and found a fond love of dairy products instead.

Meanwhile, just two months ago Pete Doherty married his fiancée Katia de Vidas at a lavish French retreat.

The singer and the film editor tied the knot just two days after confirming their engagement.

In a small private ceremony, the happy couple exchanged vows at Domaine Saint Clair hotel in the French city of Etretat – which has been their home for the past three years.

The Libertines star and the couple’s band Puta Madres were on hand to provide music for all guests including Pete’s once estranged father, who joined them on stage.

News about the couple’s marriage landed just a few days after Pete had spoken out about booting his heroin addiction for two years.

In an interview with BBC Scotland, he said: ‘I’m in recovery I suppose.

“I’m two and a half years clean of heroin which is a big deal for me and yeah I’m ticking along writing music, still writing music.”
