Tele presenter Beverley Turned has accused Piers Morgan of “manipulating people” after the journalist blocked her on social media.
It comes after the two came to blows when Beverley, 47, took to Twitter to share that she wouldn’t be taking part in the nationwide clap for the late Captain Sir Tom Moore on Tuesday.
Following his death, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the nation would come together at 6pm on Tuesday to honour the war veteran, who died after contracting coronavirus.
After noticing her tweet, Good Morning Britain co-anchor Piers, 55, responded, adding “Pathetic.” before blocking the former This Morning entertainment presenter.

However, Beverley believes that many of her 25,200 followers also agreed with her decision to not step outside and clap.
Responding to the news she had been blocked, she tweeted: “Must have touched a nerve as been blocked by @piersmorgan. I don’t think he liked the fact that it seems – by many of your reactions- that I wasn’t completely wrong…

“And he does not like to be wrong. Maybe he’s manipulating you all too? Just a thought….”
Earlier in the evening, when it was announced by Boris, Beverley tweeted: “#SirTomMoore and his family did a brilliant job of raising £ for the NHS.
“It’s great that he lived to 100! It’s awesome that he got one last fab holiday.”

Her tweet ended with: “But I’m not clapping in the St to maintain the fear that imminent death is all around & we’re all in this together. We’re not.”
After Piers tweeted the word “pathetic” Beverley soon fired back, saying: “No Piers. He was awesome. Heroic behaviour at his impressive age and I completely defend his right to go on holiday (and yours…)
“But what EXACTLY do you think we’re being asked to think about when we clap? A feverishness of FEAR. MOST people are still not at risk of dying.”
Ahead of the event, Piers took to social media to say that he would be joining the nationwide applause outside of his Kensington, West London Home.
He tweeted to his millions of followers: “Lots of clapping in my part of West London. Great to hear.
“Thanks for everything, Captain Tom.”
Sir Tom died on Tuesday morning in hospital after suffering from pneumonia for some time.
He became a national hero during the first coronavirus lockdown after walking laps of his huge garden, raising funds for the NHS.
Following his achievement, he was bestowed a knighthood by Her Majesty The Queen during a private ceremony held outside Windsor Castle.
