Piers Morgan demands Meghan Markle name royal behind her explosive race claim

Piers Morgan has appeared on US TV to demand Meghan Markle and Prince Harry name the member of the Royal Family who allegedly made a racist comment about her then unborn son Archie.

The Duchess of Sussex, made the damaging claim that a member of the Royal Family had expressed concern over how “dark” her unborn child would be during her two hour tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to Extra’s Billy Brush, Piers said: “[Meghan] hasn’t named who that person is, so everybody is in the frame, apart from the Queen and Prince Philip, who they magnanimously removed from the frame.

“Was there a problem about the skin colour of this child in the eyes of the Royal?

“If it were, if this is how it was done, then I want to know who that Royal is because I’m paying for them as a British taxpayer. I don’t want to be paying for a racist.”

Meghan told Oprah that in a conversation that she wasn’t apart of, a high-ranking royal “raised concerns and conversations about how dark his skin would be when he [Archie] is born”.

She added to Oprah that conversations, which involved Harry, took place when she was pregnant.

When asked who said it, she refused to add any more context adding: “I think that would be very damaging to them”.

However, when he joined his wife for the interview Harry referred to a single conversation prior to his wife being pregnant.

Prince William’s estranged brother bluntly stated: “That conversation, I am never going to share. But at the time it was awkward. I was a bit shocked.”

When pushed for the answer by Oprah, Harry replied: “No. I am not comfortable sharing that.”

Off camera, Harry added to the US TV legend that the alleged comment wasn’t made by with The Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh.

Oprah added on CBS’ morning show the Prince also refused to tell her who it was off camera.
