Piers Morgan's 'hearty' mum-made breakfast slaughtered by eagle-eyed fans

Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan may have felt mighty pleased with himself after he shared a picture of his Full English breakfast, lovingly made by his mum – but fans had other ideas.

The outspoken broadcaster boastfully posted an image of his meal – including sausages, bacon, eggs and tomatoes – but one of the staples seemed a bit…off.

Piers, 56, wrote: “You can’t beat a hearty country breakfast… made by your mother.”

But his brekkie wasn’t as perfect as he thought, as Piers’ toast was burnt to an absolute crisp.

One fan commented: “Excellent. Toast may need a little attention.”

A second commented: “You might need a new toaster.”

A third added: “Where was that toast cooked… on the fires of hell.”

“Looks delicious, except the toast looks a little crisp,” a fourth joked.

Piers is staying with his parents in Newick, East Sussex, for a summer break.

In other Piers Morgan news, fans on Twitter have begged him to “say sorry” to Meghan Markle after branding her “Princess Pinocchio” for her so-called lies.

However, he defiantly said he will maintain his position that he would never apologise to Prince Harry’s wife.

The conversation was sparked on social media after Piers had been heartened by admirers who were calling for him to return to the ITV breakfast show.

Piers tweeted to let viewers know he missed them too and was greeted with one reply that he wasn’t expecting.

The response read: “Yes Piers stop sulking, say you’re sorry and come back and make GMB great again.”

Piers replied: “I’d rather eat vegan sausage rolls for the rest of my life than apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio.”

The newsreader quit his job at GMB back in March after he’d came to blows with weatherman Alex Beresford.

Their heated exchange over Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey came to an abrupt end after Piers dramatically stormed off set – leaving Alex on-screen and fuming.

Both the Life Stories star and the meteorologist shared opposing views when it came to Meghan Markle’s serious claims – which included mental health struggles with no help and an accusation that a member of the Royal Family had questioned her son Archie’s skin colour before he had been born.
