Rap legend Shock G who helped get Tupac into music 'found dead at hotel'

Lead singer of the Digital Underground, Shock G has passed away at the age of 57.

The rapper was found dead on Thursday in his hotel room, according to his father Edward Racker.

Mr Racker confirmed that authorities will be conducting an autopsy.

The rap legend was famous for the song The Humpty Dance and his alter ego ‘Humpty Hump’.

Born Gregory Jacobs, he formed the hip hop group Digital Underground alongside Jimi ‘Chopmaster J’ Dright and Kenneth ‘Kenny-K’ Waters back in 1987.

He penned: “34 years ago almost to the day we had a wild idea we can be a hip hop band and take on the world through it all the dream became a reality and the reality became a nightmare for some.
