SAG Awards' best-dressed celebs including Nicole Kidman and Helen Mirren

The stars may not have had a red carpet to strut down but it did not stop many of them from taking the opportunity to dress to the nines for the 2021 SAG Awards.

Celebs such as Lily Collins, Anya Taylor-Joy and Helen Mirren all posed for stunning pictures with their very best glam on for the virtual awards show.

Stars glammed themselves up for the virtual event which was pre-recorded ahead of the night.

Although we weren’t able to see their gowns in full glory as we usually do under the Hollywood lights, we were lucky enough to get a glimpse online when the bombshells shared their incredible outfits online.

Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco, nominated for her role in The Flight Attendant stood out from the crowd in a bright pink number adorned with a big pink flower at the front.

The off-the-shoulder gown had ruffles on the sleeves, giving the dress an unusual shape.

She wore her blonde tresses pulled back in a high bun and matching bright lipstick to finish off the look.

She posed up a storm on her own version of a red carpet, strutting her stuff down her swimming pool.

Nicole Kidman

The Undoing actress Nicole Kidman dazzled in a high-neck Giorgio Armani nude gown, that featured long sleeves and beaded flowers to match her garden surroundings.

Some say she was giving off modern Disney’s Elsa vibes with her hair and aesthetic.

She wore simple makeup to highlight her natural beauty with her hair in a loose fishtail braid for a look of relaxed glamour.

Viola Davis

One of the big winners of the night, Viola Davis, scooped an award for her role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and she looked incredible in a lime green dress with embroidered white stripes down the side.

She finished off the look with matching green eyeshadow and a pair of diamond earrings to elevate her look.

Viola thanked her “beautiful” co-star the late Chadwick Boseman, in her acceptance speech.

She looked ageless with her long tresses pulled back and her jewelled earrings.

She later changed into another stunning red gown, that featured a round neckline which she paired with a chunky gold necklace.

Kerry Washington looked like she stepped right out of the 1920s with a stunning flapper-inspired blue beaded gown and matching cap.

She thanked the SAG Awards for giving her an opportunity to dress up as she posed in the pool for one daring shot.

Her bronzed skin was glowing and she looked nothing but elegant.

‘#SAGAwards is going swimmingly…#MermaidVibesAlways,’ she captioned the photos.

Anna Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy who took home the SAG Award for Best Actress in a TV movie or limited series for her role in The Queen’s Gambit oozed Hollywood glam.

She opted to wear a lace bodied low cut dress that also invoked the classic 20s style.

Her blonde hair was tucked behind her ears and had short, relaxed waves.

She paired the look with a string of pearls and a red lip.

One fan took to Twitter to praise: “Anya Taylor joy looks like a 20s Hollywood star at the #SAGAwards”.

Lily Collins looked as elegant as ever, opting for a pale pink dress featuring a statement collar and bejewelled designs.

The jewels made up a geometric pattern that travelled all over the fabric, and even had small emblems on the sleeves.

She wore minimal makeup and let her natural beauty and a pink lip do the talking with her long brown hair straight and down.

Jamie Chung made a political statement with her outfit, a bright red gown by Oscar de la Renta.

She wore matching strappy heels and glowed in photos but all eyes were drawn to her crimson-coloured handbag which was emblazoned with the message: “Stop Asian Hate”.

She took to Instagram to say: “In some Asian cultures, the colour red symbolises joy, luck and happiness. In Korean culture it symoolizes creation, passion and power. I’m so proud of my history and heritage.”

Jurnee Smollet

Jurnee Smollet was a vision in an off-the-shoulder bright pink gown with draped detail and a plunging neckline.

She wore complimentary pink makeup and a glitzy pair of diamond necklaces.

Fans were quick to take to Twitter to praise the actress’ look.
