Simon Cowell makes comedic TV return as he stars in kooky ad campaign

X Factor mogul Simon Cowell is well and truly back to work after a break from the spotlight following his horrific bike fall.

Not only has the music industry legend returned to the small screen in the US on America’s Got Talent, but he’s also now regularly appearing on TV Down Under.

Simon has teamed up with Uber Eats Australia to star in their kooky new advert.

Featuring his typically dry humour, the dad-of-one appears alongside children’s music group The Wiggles as a new member.

Swapping his judging seat for a spot in the band, Cowell takes on the role of “Grey Wiggle’ in the tongue-in-cheek clip.

Looking unimpressed for the majority of the clip, Simon tells the group they have ‘put him off music’ before their Uber Eats order arrives.

Talking about the new collab, the UK based star said: “Food and music have the power to bring everyone together, even polar opposites.

“That’s why I’m excited to be returning to Australian screens for Uber Eats’ Tonight I’ll be Eating campaign, with the iconic Wiggles! This campaign has been so much fun, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and I hope the audience enjoy it as well.”

Daily Star recently revealed how Simon had whisked off his son Eric and partner Lauren for a family staycation.

The happy trio splashed out on a weekend at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.

A source told Daily Star Online: “Simon is back living in London and with America’s Got Talent kicking off on Tuesday the bank holiday weekend was the perfect time to get away.

“He was seen enjoying some down time in the sun with Lauren and Eric and Soho Farmhouse.

“People obviously recognised him but no one bothered him. It’s the perfect home away from home and allows celebs to unwind away from the cameras.”

Piers Morgan recently confirmed he had met with Simon to talk about the possibility of working together once more.

The controversial newspaper columnist has a much quieter schedule after quitting Good Morning Britain earlier this year.

He teased to The Sun: “I saw Simon Cowell recently, and of course he got me my first big break in America.

“We walked for three hours.

“I got terrible blisters but I didn’t dare tell him because it felt like he was going to keep going until one of us surrendered.

“We talked about a few opportunities – I would like to work with him again.”
