Sky News' Adam Boulton drops F-bomb live on air during Joe Biden inauguration

Sky News presenter Adam Boulton shocked viewers when he appeared to swear live on TV during the inauguration ceremony of new US President Joe Biden.

In a clip widely shared on Twitter, he seems to say, “F***,” while a brass band is playing in the background.

The blunder didn’t go unnoticed and many viewers aired their opinions on the apparent misspeak on social media.

One person tweeted: “I know they are swearing in a new president but Adam Boulton just dropped the F-bomb live on Sky News.”

Another viewer commented: “Adam Boulton literally swearing in the new US President hilarious, dropping the ‘F-bomb’ live on Sky News, winning.

“Swearing in of President Biden taken literally by Boulton, trooper.”

“I didn’t imagine that did I?” asked another person, sounding baffled.

Boulton later said he swore because of the bad weather, with high winds gusting throughout the inauguration ceremony, Express reports.

Joe Biden officially became the 46th President of the United States after he was sworn in today (January 20).

Former President Donald Trump ignored the convention to attend the ceremony and instead flew to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

In his first speech as president of the United States, Joe Biden focused on a message of unity and tolerance and said “this is America’s day” and “democracy’s day”.

He said: “Democracy has prevailed.”

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson welcomed Biden and said he hoped to continue a strong relationship with the US, writing on Twitter: “Congratulations to Joe Biden on being sworn in as President of the United States and to Kamala Harris on her historic inauguration.

“America’s leadership is vital on the issues that matter to us all, from climate change to COVID, and I look forward to working with President Biden.”

Kamala Harris is the first-ever female Vice President of the United States.

This comes as top chef Nigella Lawson marked Trump’s exit by making her “bitter orange tart” recipe of the day.

Despite not mentioning Trump by name, some fans were sure it was a sly dig.
