Strangest celebrity phobias from Adele's seagull fear to Niall Horan's pigeon attack

Fans ain’t always funny for comedian Rob Brydon, who has a phobia of snakes, as we revealed yesterday.

Now the 56-year-old Gavin and Stacey star is trying to overcome his lifelong fear, which is one of the more common, along with a dread of spiders, rats or sharks.

But some famous folk are scared of more surprising critters as James Moore reveals…

Adele

Phobia: Seagulls

Singer Adele, now 33, says her fear started when eating an ice cream aged nine: “This huge f * g seagull came down and swiped it off me…I thought it was going to take me away with it.”

Kristen Stewart

Phobia: Horses

A nagging fear of steeds plagues the Twilight actress after she fell off one as a child. The 31-year-old says: “I hate ‘em.” and admits being terrified riding one for her film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Phobia: Giraffes

The 49-year-old rapper can’t stand them: “I have a weird thing with giraffes, man…I don’t like their necks.” He also has a serious fear of owls.

The 44-year-old Brit is reckoned to have a case of swinophobia after he “ran like crazy” when a porker escaped on the set of his movie Kingdom of Heaven.

The spiny creatures leave the 31-year-old singer petrified. She explains: “They’re like a grenade. They’re sitting there waiting to completely injure you.”

The 28-year-old ex-One Direction singer says he can’t stand the birds “after one once flew in through my bathroom window and went for me while I was having a wee!”

Known as lepidopterophobia, the fear has plagued the 54 -year-old Aussie actress since she was a kid. She says: “There is something eerie about them.” Kylie Jenner has the same phobia.

Jake Gyllenhaal

Phobia: Ostriches

In his film Prince of Persia, the 40-year-old was chased by the birds and ended up scared stiff of them. He says: “They can kill you with their beaks, tear off your face with their claws.”
