Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood hints Dan Walker will be next star to get the boot

Craig Revel Horwood has dropped a major hint that he thinks Dan Walker will be the next star to be booted from Strictly Come Dancing.

The Strictly judge revealed what he thought about the BBC Breakfast host when he appeared on Thursday’s One Show (December 2).

Craig agreed with show host Alex Scott that it’s been an “amazing” year for Strictly – and the show just held its quarter finals last week.

Tilly Ramsay became the latest star to be evicted from the show, alongside her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin.

When asked about this year’s semi-finalists, Craig was full of praise for Dan’s fellow competitors – AJ Odudu, John Whaite, Rhys Stephenson and Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Craig said: “I love AJ, I think she’s amazing. John and Johannes, absolutely spectacular, Rose and Giovanni… amazing, Rhys, fantastic.”

When he got to his thoughts on Dan, though, he took a long pause which suggested he didn’t fancy the broadcaster’s chances of making it through.

Eventually, show host Alex Scott broke the silence as she said: “He’s been on a journey…” to which Craig agreed: “He’s been on a journey. Will it end this week? Or will it continue? Let the audience decide, I say…”

Later in the chat, Craig admitted that getting Covid has made him a “tougher” judge.

He said: “Ever since I got Covid, I came back a bit tougher, I don’t know why.

“I was probably feeling a bit angry with the world, but actually, it’s fantastic, I just love the show this year. Just love it.”

He added that he fell in love with the show all over again as he watched it from home.

Last week, Dan and Nadiya got 31 points from the judges for their Rumba, including a nine from guest judge Cynthia Erivo.

“It was gorgeous, it was so gorgeous,” said Cynthia.

But, while the rest of the panel agreed with Cynthia, Craig Revel Horwood said: “You wiggled your hips, great, but anyone can do that.

“It looked like your feet were velcroed to the floor and getting stuck. However, all that being said, I thought it was a lot better than I had expected.

Dan and Nadiya will take to the ballroom again this Saturday (December 4).
