Strictly's Dan Walker leaves partner Nadiya Bychkova emotional with poignant gift

Dan Walker treated his Strictly Come Dancing professional partner Nadiya Bychkova to a very special Christmas gift.

The touching offering left Strictly professional Nadia overcome with emotions as she received the present from her dance partner after they struck up a friendship working together on the show.

Dan, 44, uploaded an image to his Instagram of Nadiya holding the personalised gift and beaming with delight.

The present was a portrait featuring a representation of Dan and Nadiya dancing with all of the things she ‘loves’ about Sheffield interspersed around them.

Nadiya relocated to Sheffield to aid with Dan’s training for Strictly – and the dedication clearly paid off with them making it all the way to the quarter-finals.

The Ukranian star was seen sobbing in a taxi after being voted off just short of the semi-finals.

At the time she explained: “They were happy tears because I’d had a great year. It’s always emotional because you put in so much of your time and energy but it’s all very positive. I made a great friend. It feels like we’ll stay friends for life.
