Su Pollard threatens to make voodoo doll of Jenny 'Vixen' Ryan on The Chase

Su Pollard has left The Chase fans stunned after threatening to make a voodoo doll of Chaser Jenny Ryan.

The Hi-de-Hi star went head-to-head against The Vixen on Sunday’s celebrity edition of the ITV gameshow, but was caught before she could return to her team.

Playing for £5,000, Su incorrectly guessed it was Lady Dedlok from Dickens novel Bleak House who started the notion of cleaning ones hands to absolve guilt.

When in reality, it was Lady Macbeth from the iconic Shakespeare play.

“You’ll be getting a doll pinned in every single area!” Su laughed as she mimed stabbing the invisible voodoo doll while Jenny looked on.

Later, Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo was also caught by Jenny – leaving only AJ Odudu and Jonathan Ross left in the race.

As AJ got several questions in a row incorrect, Jonathan said: “I really thought we were gonna get all four of us back!”

AJ chastised him: “Don’t give up on me yet!”

But after timing out twice, AJ was also caught by Jenny.

“Jonathan, I’m so sorry!” she apologised, adding, “I’m gutted!”

“Now I’m stressed!” poor Jonathan moaned, after realising he might have to complete the Final Chase on his own.

And as Jenny got two questions wrong, Jonathan sped through to the Final Chase.

But he was caught by Jenny before he could secure the £100,000 prize.

Jenny recently revealed that quizzing isn’t her only talent. Along with possessing an impressive set of vocal cords she debuted during X Factor: Celebrity in 2019, she’s also a qualified wedding planner.

In a Twitter conversation with her self-confessed ‘doppelgänger’ comedian Angela Barnes, Jenny offered some bridal advice.

The Mock The Week panelist took to social media to rant about an article aimed at brides over 40.

Angela wrote: “I accidentally looked at an article about advice for over 40s brides. And I can say with absolute certainty that it can all f*** right off.

“I do not want to be elegant and timeless. I want to be loud, fun and a little bit trashy.”

Which prompted The Vixen to speak out, replying: “FYI your doppelgänger here is a fully qualified wedding planner.”

“Now you tell me!” Angela replied.

“It’s all there on my LinkedIn!” Jenny told her.

She actually attended the Wedding Planner School before debuting as a quizmaster on The Chase.

As though that wasn’t enough, the Bolton-born Chaser has also confirmed she will be starring in a brand-new West End show, dubbed Scrubs to Sparkles.

It will delve into the life of Dr Ranj Singh – a British doctor, TV presenter and musical star.

And 39-year-old Jenny will be joining the lineup.
