The Circle winner confirmed as Natalya after she tricked rivals as soldier Felix

The Circle can only have one winner, with Natalya getting crowned this year’s champion after a nail-biting finale.

On Friday, the winner was announced, with the 30-year-old military police officer scooping up the £100,000 prize after catfishing as a soldier named Felix.

Discussing her win, Natalya admitted her ability to successfully impersonate a bloke had been one of the main contributors to her win.

“I must play a good man!” she remarked.

Natalya also explained why she had decided to come into The Circle as a catfish, claiming her rivals would be more likely to fall for the “perfect man”.

She said: “If I was me, I would have been gone. I had to be the perfect man. What I see every day at work is what I created.”

The finale was as tense as could be, with Felix taking home the prize

Natalya wasn’t an original this season – she first appeared in episode five, and was an instant hit with her fellow contestants on The Circle.

Voted as influencer twice, Natalya only risked elimination once when she finished last in the ratings, only to later win back approval.

Fellow contestant Manrika, 24, who played herself, came second in the series after weeks of flirty banter between the pair.

Company boss Andy, 34, who was also playing himself on the show, landed in third place, while Hashu – played by 28-year-old comic Syed – came fourth.

Manrika landed in second place in the competition, with Felix swooping ahead

Finally, Tom, impersonated by duo Pippa and Joey, both 26, finished in fifth place, bidding farewell to the Salford apartment block.

Fans were thrilled to watch Natalya scoop up the prize, having cheered her along throughout the competition.

One gushed: “So pleased for Natalya, she totally deserved it. Played a great game.”

“I’m so happy for her omg,” added a second.

And a third chimed: “What a series!! Could not have picked a better winner either, so gutted that’s it over.”

The Circle’s winner has been confirmed as military police officer Natalya

Before joining the show, Natalya revealed her goal in taking part was to raise awareness of women in the military, bringing gender roles into question.

She said: “All is not what you see with the gender roles in the military.

“It would be nice to say that a female in the armed forces can still retain her femininity as well as being a successful soldier.

“I can do exactly the same as what any man can do, but because of my gender it’s not always been seen as the case.

“The Army has changed its rules and is now letting women join the infantry. But when you’re a female, people tend to look at you and think you’re not physically as capable.

“It would be nice to have a positive influence on a younger audience.”
