The One Show's Alex Jones shows off growing baby bump in adorable snap

Host Alex Jones revealed the happy news she is BBC One. while live on air, and now has shared a photo of her baby bump.

The One Show star shared the joyful news with co-presenter Ronan Keating and viewers on Thursday night’s episode on Instagram Story

Jones said she and her husband Charlie Thomson are expecting a baby girl.

Now, the 44-year-old gave the first glimpse of her growing bump in a sweet snap to her Instagram Story on Friday.

The presenter looked glowing in the photo as she posed in a flowery midi dress and her hair worn down.

She captioned the post “There she is” followed by pink heart emojis.

The radiant star’s growing belly was covered in colourful flowers, made up of blue, pink and orange, which was snug at the waist to show off her bump.

Alex already has sons Teddy, four and Kit, 22 months.

When announcing the news on air she said: “I feel really nervous all of a sudden… it just seems like a good time to share some news with everybody and the crew in the studio for the first time.

“Lockdown has been anything but predictable, and we’ve had some really unexpected news, baby number three is on the way!”

Ronan, 44, and the studio began applauding the star for her exciting news.

She joked that she needs “all the tips”, with the Irish singer, who has five children, said “Oh yeah, loads of them, loads of them. I’m so excited for you.”

When he asked whether she is expecting a boy or a girl, Alex excitedly said: “A little girl… a little girl!.”

The host then shared the news on Instagram with an adorable family photo with her insurance broker husband and two boys, where they held up a sign which said “Coming soon… Baby number 3.”

She was congratulated by her 278K followers and pals, including celebs Louise Redknapp, Rochell Humes and Kirsty Gallacher.

In 2018, Alex explained that it had been difficult to conceive their second child Kit, she told The Sun at the time: “I have to say, the first time – absolutely fine. Luckily, god, it happened.

“But second time, not as easy. I suppose I’m older now, but we took it for granted that it would be OK. But you don’t really know until you start trying how it’s going to go, do you?

“The majority of couples I know have had something, not always IVF, but some problem that needs to be sorted out. Hardly anyone’s story is straightforward, and it’s not really talked about that much.”
