This Morning fans fume as show is abruptly cut off in huge schedule shake-up

This Morning fans were left fuming on Wednesday, as their favourite ITV programme was cut short in a schedule shake-up.

The programme, which usually runs from 10am until 12:30pm, had 15 minutes shaved off its run-time and instead ended at 12:15pm.

Loose Women, which usually runs from 12:30pm until 1:30pm, was pulled off the air altogether in order to make more room on the TV schedule for the news.

This was in order to make way for Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Autumn Budget 2021 announcement at 12:30pm – which ITV News will be covering.

Fans of the show were certainly not happy to see their programme end so abruptly, with one tweeting: “The budget can f*** off!”

“Oh, didn’t realise it was a shorter show. When was #SpinToWin on? I had to go out,” another wailed.

While a third fan followed up: “My whole work schedule is based around this show finishing at 12:30. F*** off budget! #ThisMorning.”

“Oh they’ve finished early! I forgot about the budget LOL!” someone else chimed in.

Fans were also shocked to see the regular Spin To Win segment – on which guests can regularly scoop hefty prize money and goodie bags – air earlier on the show, around 10:30am.

The show also aired a regular segment earlier than usual

Confused viewers took to Twitter to say: “Spin To Win’s a bit early isn’t it?!”

“Oh no, early Spin to Win!” someone else followed up.

Meanwhile, Loose Women viewers were similarly disappointed to see the show wouldn’t air at all on Wednesday, with one writing: “ITV have cancelled Loose Women!”

But viewers will be pleased to know that the show will make its valiant return on Thursday.

Speaking at the end of Tuesday’s episode, panelist Christine Lampard said: “Thank you so much for your company today.

“We’re not going to be here tomorrow because of the Budget but we’re back on Thursday for more lunch time laughs, see you then!”

Chancellor Sunak is preparing to lay out the country’s financial future, having just revoked the £20 per week Universal Credit boost originally set to help families struggling in the pandemic.

He has also raised taxes in order to provide a £12billion boost for the NHS.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
