This Morning fans gobsmacked that Ruth Langsford is 61 after she gets vaccine

This Morning fans were thrilled as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford returned to the show to present every day this week.

The pair are stepping in for usual presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who are taking a break for the half-term holidays.

This is the first time the pair have presented the show since they were axed from their usual Friday slot last year, and viewers were certainly thrilled to see them.

Before her comeback to the show, Ruth revealed that she got the vaccine after receiving a text from the NHS – originally believing it was a hoax.

However, as soon as she realised that it was genuine, she went to get her jab as she talked about the side effects on the show today.

Ruth said: “I’m good, all I’ve had is a slightly achey arm.

“But I do feel very grateful and very blessed.”

Fans couldn’t believe that Ruth’s age, as she revealed that she is 61, which is why she thought the vaccine text was fake.

Another said: “Yes finally Eamonn and Ruth are back.”

It was revealed last year that Eamonn and Ruth were being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary for their usual Friday slot.

The new duo presented their first show together at the start of January, as Ruth and Eamonn confirmed they would return to the show for half-term holidays.

This Morning continues tomorrow at 10am on ITV.
