Wayne Bridge reacts to Ant and Dec's savage Frankie dig after I'm A Celeb trial

Wayne Bridge watched Ant and Dec royally roast his wife Frankie on I’m A Celeb, and he couldn’t help laughing as he watched from home.

In fact, Wayne said that the Geordie duo “definitely summed her up” – after she took on the Grim Grinder trial on Tuesday night (December 8).

The tense general knowledge trial saw The Saturdays singer spun around in a cage of rotten fruit as she had to answer a series of questions.

Poor Frankie was bombarded with bad eggs, offal, vegetables and fish as she was being quizzed by the cheeky hosts.

The Loose Women host ended up getting seven stars out of nine for camp – an impressive feat.

However, she struggled on some of the questions and at the end, Ant joked: “So we’ve worked out your geography’s bad, your spelling’s not great, your maths is terrible, but you love a good curry…”

Frankie laughed: “I do love a good curry. I’ve had a long time to think about food in here guys. Everyone’s going to be so jealous. It looks like I’ve been on a massive night out.”

Wayne was in stitches as he watched from home, and he shared a clip of him watching his wife complete the trial on his TV set.

Responding to Ant’s joking remarks, he admitted: “That definitely sums her up!”

He was still rather proud of his beau for her success in the trial, though, captioning the clip: “Yes @frankiebridge love it” with a series clapping-hand emojis.

Frankie had been forced to face the trial after being picked out of a hat by Naughty Boy.

Explaining the trial, Dec said: “You’ll be strapped into the cage, beneath the grinder. In each round a different food will be dropped into the cage. Then the grinder will start rotating.

“You’ll then be asked a question about the food item that’s been dropped in. You’ve got 60 seconds to give us a correct answer. You can guess as many times as you like.”

The grinder, Ant added, stopped every time Frankie answered correctly.

Frankie was unable to spell the word “dauphinoise”, and when asked how many fish fingers are eaten in the UK every day, the correct answer was 1.5million – but she initially guessed 8,000.

The mum also struggled on the geography section of the quiz, where she had to name 3 countries that border Italy.

Frankie incorrectly guessed Spain, Portugal and England – with a correct answer of France.

She passed with flying colours on the curry question though, which required her to list the 3 most popular curry dishes in Britain.

She correctly answered Chicken Korma, Tikka and Jalfrezi – winning seven stars out of nine.

The singer even cheered as she got pelted with ground curry – following days of feasting on rice and beans.
