X Factor's Cher Lloyd unveils glam transformation 11 years after ITV show stint

Cher Lloyd looks almost unrecognisable 11 years after her first TV debut on The X Factor.

The 28-year-old singer first appeared on the ITV singing show in 2010 and instantly became an overnight success.

She still dons her naturally brunette hair but her style is very different indeed.

Her trademark urban street look appears to be a thing of the past as she was recently seen snapped with a completely different style.

Cher is notoriously recognisable from her X Factor audition, where she styled her hair rocked up in a messy bun and opted for a smokey-eye with slim pencil eyebrows.

Her outfit choice back then, as seen in her iconic audition tape, included dip-dye ripped trousers, a black denim top which revealed her slender figure and a bulky denim black jacket.

In a recent snap of the X Factor star, the now 28-year-old had her long dark hair swept down, as she showed off her natural curls. The singer who was known for her smoky eye, now opts for a more toned down look.

During her time on the show, Cher was constantly compared to her mentor Cheryl, as not only did their name share an uncanny resemblance, their appearance conveyed many similarities.

The Malvern singer first graced her way into the audition and performed the 2000s hit, Turn My Swag On by hip-hop performer Soulja Boy – despite becoming a breakout star that year, Cher also is known for her controversial ways on the show.

She became known for her alleged tantrums and later a falling out with mentor Cheryl.

Louis Walsh had also branded “too big for her boots” when she appeared in the competition.

Cher admitted that she was ‘young and foolish’ during her time on the show.

She said: “I was angry with the way I was being edited, and because of that I turned into this horrible person, with a terrible attitude.”

However, It goes without saying that the controversial star had continued to make a name for herself since appearing on the show all those years ago.

Her popular catchy track ‘Swagger Jagger’ rocketed to number one in the UK charts when it first debuted in 2011.
