Alison Hammond breaks silence on ongoing ITV 'feud' with This Morning co-host

This Morning host Alison Hammond has addressed an alleged feud between herself and co-star Dermot O’Leary.

Speaking on viral TikToker GK Barry’s Saving Grace podcast, she said: “I can’t tell you how wrong they actually are. I love the fact that people think that. I’m gonna keep that going.

“Go ‘babes, people think we hate each other, let’s do a couple of things on the telly like stand further apart’.

“Like we’re still distancing!

“But seriously I love the fact people think we’ve got beef, it’s hilarious.

“Honestly I can’t tell you how much I love that man, he’s so funny.”

The Big Brother star has presented This Morning on and off over the years but last year became a regular on the shows sofa alongside X Factor legend Dermot while social distancing was still in place.

“I kind of liked the distancing though, cos I’m quite a rotund presenter and Dermot is so little, you couldn’t really tell that I was that big when we were separated.

“Now we’re together, it’s like gosh, look at the size of Al.

“But I’m owning it now, I’m taking up the spaces, this is it, deal with it.”

Alison says she “loves” her co-presenter and that “he’s so funny”

Alison was asked if the two presenters had ever considered dating one another or if there had ever been romantic tension.

She said, “I think he wants to. I’m only joking. No, don’t be silly, he’s married.”

Dermot, 49, was secretly with his wife, Dee Koppang, for two years before they tied the knot in 2012.

Alison, 47, rose to fame in 2003 when she was a housemate on reality series Big Brother.

Despite being the second contestant voted off, she has become a household name and has been on numerous shows since including I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
