America’s Got Talent star Nightbirde has died aged just 31 after a ‘long’ battle with cancer, TMZ has reported.

The talented singer – whose real name is Jane Marczewski – became a social media sensation during the 16th season of the show after she blew the judges away with her incredible vocal range.

After listening to her original song It’s Ok, the starlet received the highly sort after golden buzzer form head judge Simon Cowell and quickly became an overnight success after the clip of her audition raked in more than 30million views on YouTube.

According to the media publication, the brunette beauty passed away on Sunday (20 February) after months of intense treatment, however, the disease spread to her lungs, spine and liver.

Nightbirdie’s death came as a shock to her loyal legion of fans after she shared an inspirational selfie last December where she declared it was a “miracle [to] even be alive”.

She shared a black and white snap of herself, with the emotional caption: “We are breaking records every second we survive. How rare a miracle it is to even be alive.”

Despite her incredible talent, the singer was forced to step down from the gripping AGT finals which she announced on Instagram last August as she shared how her health had deteriorated making her unable to compete on the final show.

In the lengthy post, the singer confirmed her cancer had taken a “turn for the worse” as she shared her candid health update online.

She wrote: “Sharing my heart with the world onAGT has been an honour and a dream come true. My point of view this summer has been astounding.

“What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider.

She continued: “Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention.

“I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season go AGT. Life doesn’t;t always give breaks to those that deserve it – but we knew that already.

“Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me. Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.

“It’s so hard for me to not be on the @agt stage for the finals this week. I bet you never saw someone win so hard and lose so hard at the same time. This isn’t how the story was supposed to go.”
