Ant and Dec talk 'kicking out' I'm A Celebrity star after ITV show branded 'dead'

Ant and Dec didn’t pull any punches when a troll hit out at the I’m A Celebrity hosts, branding the show “dead.”

The Geordie duo have been back on our screens for the past few weeks as they returned to Australia for the first time in three years for the ITV reality show.

Ahead of the first elimination of the series, Ant and Dec took to Twitter to ask their 6.8 million followers who would be the first celeb to be sent home packing.

Ultimately, Loose Women presenter and journalist Charlene White became the first celeb to get the boot after receiving the fewest votes from the public.

However, before the show’s results on Friday (November 18), the TV legends decided to get the opinion of their fans.

The pair tweeted: “On our way in to kick the first one out! Who is going first from the #ImACeleb Class of 2022? Let us know in the replies….”

Following their tweet, one member of the public decided to hit out at the Ant and Dec, as well as the hit ITV show.

The user tweeted: “Not watched a single episode the shows dead, I’d like a public version of the show like Big Brother did.”

The hilarious pair saw the troll’s tweet and took the opportunity to hit back with an epic comeback.

The Geordie pair shared a meme of Mr. Bean yawning.

Fans of the pair came to their defence, with one penning: “And yet chose to comment!? What a funny thing to do if you aren’t remotely interested…”

“Well you’re saying plenty to say if you’re not watching it,” another fan tweeted.

A third wrote; “9 million viewers says it isn’t dead at all.”

A second celeb will be leaving the Aussie jungle tonight, and the bookies are saying it’s one of the camp’s much-loved stars.

According to Ladbrokes Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver – best known to millions as Eileen Grimshaw – will be the next star out of camp.

They have named the 59-year-old as the next favourite to go, with Channel 4 presenter Scarlette Douglas tipped to go next.

A spokesperson said via The Sun: “While Sue was once among the frontrunners to go all the way, she now looks a dead cert to be sent packing next.”
